This holiday season has been quite full, with activities, family, food, everything! The Thanksgiving holiday was spent in Utah. Bryan enjoyed playing a "Turkey Bowl" with our ward - the North Elder's Quorum against the South Elder's Quorum. Unfortunately, Bryan's team lost...but they all still had fun playing.
Zeb made new friends, playing with the other kids while the "big boys" played. Zeb wasn't quite sure what to do with the other kids, not having much interaction with others his age. He treats them as toys at first, trying to push them over and claw out their eyes. After much coaxing, however, they get along and even share toys.
Thanksgiving dinner was spent at Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Sagers' home. It was a wonderful meal, as always, and good time spent with family. We were having such a good time, in fact, that we forgot to take pictures! That says something, doesn't it? (Don't my boys look great?!)
After a few more weeks of school and work, we packed up and headed down to California to spend the Christmas holiday with the Downs. Zeb was once again thrust into the company of several other kids (and still not quite sure what to do about it).
The entire vacation was just perfect. A day was spent at Disneyland, dinners and activities were spread out between all the families...it was so fun rotating homes and ideas. The Sunday before Christmas, we all went down to the San Diego Temple to see the lights on the Temple grounds. They were beautiful. While down in San Diego, we visited a neighborhood that was decorated with huge cards at nearly every house, most of them with a Disney theme. It was truly amazing and fun to see such elaborate decorations.
Both Bryan and Zeb decided that they liked the game of Zeb standing on Alison's tummy. Almost the moment he would climb on, Alison would be tortured (she has the "blessing" of being quite ticklish) while Bryan stood by coming "as fast as he can" to save her.
Christmas Eve was spent at Grandpa and Grandma Downs' home. By that, we mean all 26 of us stayed the night. We had a most perfect portrayal of the Nativity, put on by the grandkids old enough to follow directions (at least follow them long enough to get on "stage" at the right time).
