We've had so much fun lately! Two weekends ago (the 14th) we went for a family hike to Etiwanda Falls. It was a little long for Zeb - he did amazing on the way up, but insisted on sliding on the way down. Luckily he preferred the skiing method (holding onto our hands and sliding on his feet) instead of pretending the trail was a slide. We even ran into some friends who were on their way down when we were almost to the falls. What's more fun than running into friends when you're all hot and sweaty? Anyway...we had a great time and are excited to do more hiking this summer!
The girls! It was an overcast day so we put the kids in long pants and jackets.
The boys! This was Bryan's first hike in quite some time...and he was still going twice the pace of the rest of us. He's pretty much amazing.
Last week we went to visit our good friends that just recently moved to San Diego. We love having friends so close! Unfortunately...the camera was left at home so no pictures came from our wonderfully fun playdate. Next time for sure! We had so much fun playing toys, eating lunch, playing more toys, and visiting. Can't wait to get together again!
Then...the craziness began. Okay, truth be told the craziness is never far away. It just came on a little stronger this particular day. Zeb decided he was a dog. Nothing could be done to convince him otherwise. He kept trying to take the couch apart for his doghouse...and I just wasn't having that! So what did we do? We built a doghouse. Some might think this is a fort...but they would be wrong. It is the ultimate doghouse.
He is one happy puppy!
And apparently had to find the hardest possible way to enter the doghouse. The door was obviously too easy! Too bad the doghouse couldn't last forever. It was much more fun to build than to put away...by the way...just in case you were wondering. The putting away happened while the puppy was camping with his daddy...but that's another post. The camping...not the clean up.
