It's come and gone yet again. We went up to our annual SAS (Sagers Annual Shindig) this past weekend and had a fabulous time! Bryan was able to get the entire week off from work so we extended our trip. We took our time on the drive north and stopped in St. George for a temple trip. Bryan was able to do a session while I played with the kids at a park, went through the visitor's center, and enjoyed the temple grounds. What a beautiful building! While walking around the grounds we saw a few wedding parties. Zeb grabbed my hand and exclaimed, "Look, Mommy! A princess!". How right he was!
After arriving at Gpa and Gma's house we really started having fun. We played games, ate yummy food, played more games...and that was only the first day! Monday morning we shipped Rachel off to girls camp so we missed her company, but Erick was a fantastic playmate! Erick was so willing to play with Zeb and even helped babysit him and Abby a couple times, allowing Bryan and I to go on dates. Can I just say how awesome it was to go on a date?! We don't get the chance very often at this stage in our lives so we are very grateful whenever it happens. I'm pretty sure I have the best siblings out there. We got to visit with Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Sagers...but left our diaper bag on the kitchen table in AF (remember this) so we don't have any pictures to show from our very fun visit. Zeb warmed up very quickly and soon had gGpa trapped in the playroom.
.
Thursday we traveled up to Salt Lake City to see the Joseph Smith movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building - it is so worth the trip! We also got to have lunch with Gpa and visit his office.
Bryan is slightly jealous of the view Gpa has from his office (he looks right out onto Temple Square).
Zeb took several pictures at the St. George Temple.
He didn't take this one though...someone volunteered to take a family photo for us.
.
The weather was great - except for that major windstorm somewhere in the middle - so the pool and the outdoors were our friends.
One day we were too tired to go to the pool (Abigail had a few rough nights) so the gang decided to have a water fight instead.
I put myself in charge of Abigail and the camera. So we stayed mostly dry and got some fun shots!
It kind of turned in to "get Gma as wet as possible" and I'm pretty sure they were successful.
The trampoline is the perfect place to dry off and get warm again!

Being cute while waiting in the lobby for Gpa to come down for lunch.
After lunch Zeb and Abby went home with Gma and Erick while Bryan and I did a session in the Salt Lake Temple. It was my first time at the Salt Lake Temple...and it was so beautiful! We love being able to go to so many temples.
Finally it was time for SAS to begin. We went down to Scofield to the family cabin for some quality family time.
The service project this year was rebuilding the platform down by the fire pit. Gpa had all the holes measured and drilled in the boards before coming up to the cabin so the work went pretty quick.
Zeb even got a turn with the drill. Some struggled more than others *cough, cough...I won't name names*, but we all took a turn and got the project finished.
Bryan enjoyed fishing. He went three times and came back with fish all three times! They were delicious every time.
Zeb learned how to play darts...and even got them to stick in the board. Yes, he got a bulls-eye. Pretty good for only being 3.
We went for a hike, roasted mallows, took naps, played games, and had the best weekend! The theme for this year was "Family - It's in the Bag" and we all had the assignment of filling out 'evidence cards' about each other. On the last night Gma gave everyone a bag with fun books that include the Family: A Proclamation to the World and family pictures. There was a place in the books for the cards we had filled out about each other, so everyone has a very personalized book. We can't wait for next year!
**Side adventure** On our drive home we had to stop just off of an exit to feed and change Abigail (we weren't near any cities). We finished and started back on our way. About 10 minutes later Bryan got a call on his phone from my phone...which was in the diaper bag...which was supposedly behind my seat. I answered and got the news that our diaper bag had been found on the side of the road. The people who found it saw us driving away and noticed that we left our bag. As soon as we could we turned around and met them to retrieve our precious bag. Thank heavens for nice people! They really saved us, considering that my phone and wallet were in there. That will sure teach us to double check that everything is in the car before taking off!
