Labor Day Party

We were invited to the coolest party for Labor Day this year! Bryan's sister's neighborhood throws a party every year with potluck sides, hot dogs, games, and a water slide. We've gone to this awesome party for the past 3 years and it just keeps getting better and better. Part of that might be due to the fact that our kids are getting older and therefore have more fun playing...but whatever the reason we love going down to play with family and friends. In fact, this year we had so much fun playing that we barely took any pictures at all. Just enough to have proof that everyone had fun.

Zeb was a little hesitant of the slide at first, but as soon as Bryan agreed to go at the same time he could hardly wait to go down.

Abigail loved going down on our laps...and kept asking to go again and again! (That's her and Bryan in this picture) Both kids were so sad when it was "adult time" on the slide. The older kids all sit at the bottom of the slide and "judge" the splashes as the adults get time to just go crazy! Zeb and Abby just didn't understand why they couldn't have a turn. Soon enough it was time for the kids again.

This is probably the only time that Zeb actually waited in line all day...and it was only because I was with him and forced him to stay with me. He definitely wasn't the only one cutting in line...but he was a repeat offender. While not going down the slide, the kids had fun riding bikes and scooters and the parents enjoyed relaxing in the shade.

There are a few firemen that live in the neighborhood so they somehow got permission to hook up a fire hose to the hydrant and soak everyone a few times. The slide was amazing, the food was fabulous, and the company was the best of all! The only thing missing was Uncle Gregg (who was down visiting us for the week, but spent the day with friends who had changed their plans at the last minute to Monday).
