Guess what I found...our camera! All of the pictures that we took at SAS this year have finally been recovered! There are some real gems to help keep our memories of the fun times in early (very early) summer alive and well.
We stopped for breakfast in St. George (we prefer leaving super early in the morning when we have a full day of driving). Look how tiny miss Maggie Belle was!
I already blogged about the first half of the week (since the pictures from those adventures were on our phones) so I'll just skip right ahead to the cabin. Erick and Natalie came up with us the day before everyone else. Erick and Bryan brought their camping gear and spent the night roughing it on the mountain while Natalie stayed with me at the cabin to help with the kids. Their gear worked (kept them warm enough and protected from the elements) and they both want to do it again. I'm good with the cabin.
Abigail loved climbing up and sliding down the "mountain" on the way to the swings and just for fun. Erick was a pretty awesome companion for her.
We played some intense frisbee golf...
...with all sorts of targets and starting points. So much fun!
We had some great relax time - nothing beats snuggling with a baby!
After everyone else arrived, the party really started. All sorts of games were played by all sorts of people. This may or may not have been the beginning of Abigail's love for the ninja turtles.
Gregg and Erick fixed a section of the deck that needed some reinforcements.
Most everyone else got to work cutting down and hauling out dead trees. (I was on baby and picture taking duty - comes with having a newborn - next year someone else can have that job.)
Push girls, push! What good sports to pose for the picture.
Zeb and Abby spent some quality time at the swings watching all the action.
The final pile. Good work crew!
Gathering around the table is always a good place and time for making memories.
Bryan let Zebediah wield the hatchet for a bit...watch out Paul Bunyan, your job is on the line.
The lumberjack idea might have been a sidetrack...looks like he's moved on to cowboy-ing.
What is a cabin trip without fishing?
The biggest catch goes to Mackenzie!
