Good memories were made in October. The month flew by and really felt like we just blinked and it was gone. Good thing we have pictures to help us remember how we passed the time!
We made an impromptu beach trip one weekend. The sun was shining, we didn't have any other pressing plans, and we love the beach.
We had fun burying...
...digging, climbing, running from the waves, jumping in the waves, swimming in the ocean, and more! Definite blessing of living where we do.
Abigail had some fun with her outfit on picture day. She went to school with her shirt on properly and came home with it as a cape! Cue yet another talk on modesty and why we choose to dress the way we do.
We sure love her creativity and spunk!
We had a huge first in October. All 3 girls had their hair fixed at the same time!! This has never happened again since, so maybe I jinxed it by having evidence. Any way you look at it, they are adorable and make us smile.
Zeb made a robot out of recycled materials for a scout project.
Then he came home saying it wasn't a robot anymore, but Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget. Okay. Sure. Why not.
Elizabeth is taking after her siblings (not surprised!) and turning into quite the little monkey. She pulls herself up on everything - I am totally jealous of her upper body strength! - to get what she wants.
She will climb up onto the counters, she will push chairs to get a better view/climbing position.
Love these clever kids. Even when they make us nervous.
Abigail is love, love, loving taking piano lessons! She sits down to practice every day and is constantly making up her own songs. This came in handy for our Halloween recital (every student learned one song and wrote one song). She's even writing her songs down.
She came up to me one day and said, "Mom! I just wrote this for you. Please play it for me!" Sure thing, Sweetheart.
Keep up the good work.
Lizzie has made friends at the workout class I attend. We just let the kids run around the cultural hall while we work and sweat and chat. Good times all around! I digress. Nearly every time we go, she and her friend grab on to each other and just hug for a few minutes before either is willing to let go.
It might just be one of the cutest things we see all day.
Abigail was given the assignment to give a person a costume. Not willing to be left out, Zeb did one too. I completely spaced getting a picture of Abigail's before she took it to school, so that will have to come after she brings it back home.
In the meantime, Zeb's turned out pretty awesome, if he does say so himself. Sometimes we see how many stickers we can fit on our faces (or just on Liz's face) and then go to swim practice.
Just for fun.
Abby earned her movie night with friends! It started out very sedate, the turned into a giant play date with maybe 1 or 2 of the girls interested in the movie. Oh well. They had so much fun and Abby can hardly wait to earn another one!
The next morning Abigail said, "Mom, that was the best movie party ever!" I asked what her favorite part was and she said it was watching movies with her friends...all 10 minutes of it. Haha!
