Wednesday evening 8:10 PM - we waited patiently in the SLC airport for one specific plane. I guess patiently isn't quite the right word to describe it...but I think you know what I mean.

Erick had the assignment to keep Zeb happy, which meant walking around in circles for about 20 minutes.
Do you think Zeb wanted out of the stroller? All of a sudden we look at the flight arrival board and see that the one we were waiting for had landed! Gma Sagers went up to someone coming out of the secure area and asked if they had flown from Chicago...and the answer was yes. Picture this...a mom hasn't seen her son in 2 years and is telling everyone to stay back so she can be sure to have good pictures of his first sighting of the family. But beware, because she gets the first hug.

Next thing we know a shout goes out, "There he is!" and there goes Gma. Needless to say, her excitement could not be contained any longer. That is why there are no pictures of Phil's first sightings at the airport. But what can you say? Who can blame her? Not us!
Hugs and smiles ensue, we gather the baggage, make our way out to the cars, travel home (poor Zeb cried the whole way home because it was past his bedtime, he was hungry, and he had to be in his carseat), stay up until 12:30 AM
--which was quite the accomplishment for Phil since he had been traveling for 27 hours already -- and still can hardly believe that the 2 years have already passed.
We're so glad to have Uncle Phil home again!! It's so fun to hear all of his stories about Russia, the people, and his experiences about sharing his testimony. It was also fun to see that he came home with a collection of ties that can compete with Bryan's! He brought home 57 ties...not bad for 2 years!
