We celebrate Valentine's Day a little differently in our family. One year ago, Zeb decided to surprise us by coming into this world a few weeks early. We haven't regretted it for even one second! Needless to say, there was not a single Valentine's Day decoration in our home this year (and probably won't be for some time to come). After a crazy start to the day (and some not-so-good naps) we had a great night! The Sagers came over to join in the festivities. We had a most delicious dinner (homemade Cafe Rio burritos) followed by presents, games (Disney Scene It) and, of course, the cake and ice cream! Following are a few...okay, okay...several pictures of our fun day celebrating Zeb's #1 birthday. They pretty much tell the story better than we could. We'll include commentary every once in a while, but won't feel bad if you don't read it. In all honesty...how would we even know if you read it or not?!
We decided that since Zeb has taken to walking, he needed shoes to protect his LARGE feet. Isn't he so adorable in his new outfit (thanks Gma D) and tennis shoes?!!
As most of you have children, you know exactly what it is like trying to keep the presents wrapped until the appropriate time...even if you don't have children I'm sure you know what it's like trying to wait.
Zeb's exact thoughts...we're pretty sure..."I'm having so much fun with all of this paper!! I'll figure out all of these 'toy' things later!"
"Just kidding! Only half of it made it to my mouth. The other half is under my leg (or on the floor, or on my tray...)"
Having a blast on the new Rock, Ride & Roll bike. Thanks everyone for a fantastic birthday! It was probably my best Valentine's Day ever!
