We celebrated Easter in style this year! We all found new Sunday clothes and a few treats laid out on the couch and scatter on the floor. The night before we colored and decorated eggs (Bryan had never colored eggs with Kool-Aid before...so we gave it a whirl and they turned out pretty good, in our opinion). Bryan woke up early and hid our homemade eggs for a small egg hunt. He was a stinker and hid Alison's so well that he had to give her clues. We didn't want any eggs to go unfound...we like having our home smell good :)
Zeb was a good sport and even put the eggs and candy in his basket. Of course, it only stayed in his basket for about 30 seconds before he wanted to take it out again and either throw it or put it into his mouth.
We had a wonderful day at home, at church, and at the Sagers' home for a big family dinner. It really is wonderful to have a holiday in the Spring, reminding us of the sacrifice made by Our Savior. Even though we celebrate with eggs and candy, we are also grateful for the opportunity to focus on the teachings of Christ and gain a greater appreciation for the Atonement.
