One nice day in March, we were doing a bit of this...
...and a bit of that...
...basically just living our every day lives (Bryan's first trip to the beach since his accident - thus the tennis shoes!)...
...soaking up some vitamin D...
...becoming one with nature...
...then the next thing you know (okay, so it was about 2 weeks later)...
...we found some of this...
...looked from a far (not so far)...
...did lots of this...
...a bit of that (so cute that they were trying to share!)...
...did artwork to our heart's content (in appropriate places!)...
...jumped clear to the moon and back...
...went for bike rides (when it was only 30 degrees outside!)...
...and so much more!
As much as we love our beach time...we always love a trip up north to see the family! Zeb and Abby were angels on the drive (so much so that we literally flew - did the drive in less than 9 hours when it normally takes us 10.5!) and could hardly wait to see Gpa, Gpa, and some aunts and uncles. I needed the trip to "recharge" since the kids had been running me a bit ragged, and they needed to spend some time with someone who can keep up with them. It also gave me a chance to sew our Easter outfits with some (okay, more than just some!) help from my amazing mom. We got to help celebrate Natalie's birthday, watch Rachel and Erick perform their concertos (with Natalie accompanying), help prepare and participate in a larger-than-normal family dinner (I was blamed for the extra guests...since my kids are just so darn cute that everyone at BYU wants to meet them!), play in the snow, spend too much quality time with the Street Sharks (relics from Erick's younger days - and one of Zeb's more recent favorites), and more. From the sounds of it we had a very busy vacation...but we really spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the company of family. This trip was exactly what we all needed and might have to become an annual tradition!
