September really flew by! It was filled with many fun days, some frustrations, and more smiles. So...life in general.
Crazy hair ruled the roost. Nothing new there. Abigail wanted to try fixing her own hair and this was the result. She was so proud of it that she refused to let me fix it. (the picture is really dark, but it shows her with 1 pig tail and the rest of her hair left down)
Elizabeth finally outgrew the newborn size clothes and diapers! Moving up to only 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers. May sound boring and not like a big deal, but for her that was some great growth.
Maggie loves to be just like the big kids. We spent a lot of time outside riding bikes and she became a pro at riding her scooter. She is completely fearless and loves going downhill (on our driveway...come on, we don't let her do just anything) and chasing the big kids.
Just look at this gorgeous girl! Some days it was just too hot to walk home from school (we're talking triple digits here!) so we drove and just chilled (literally with the A/C blasting) while waiting for Zeb. Aren't you just a little bit jealous of her beautiful curls?! Abigail excelled in school throughout the month. The only downside was losing her lunch box one day. But that's an easy fix and life went on.
This big girl learned to roll over! We tried on more than one occasion to get video evidence, but she didn't want to cooperate. It really did happen. So fun watching her develop and grow. Now if we could only figure out how to get her hair to grow...
Princess over here thinks the cupboards (and anything really, if we're being honest) is fair game while I am occupied feeding (or otherwise taking care of) Elizabeth. One of the more common occurrences is cereal dumped on the floor. Someday we will find a way to keep her out of the cupboards. And her sister's closet. And the movie cupboard. But that day did not come in September.
Lots of quality time was spent at our splash park and pool. We spent most of the time at the splash park because it was easier for me to manage the 4 kids by myself without having to make sure they were being water safe. We sure are glad to have a way to cool down in the SoCal heat.
More time was spent at the beach. We didn't go nearly as much this year (a few other life events kind of got in the way) but still found some time to enjoy our get away. Maggie still loves to dig in the sand, and occasionally lick it. Don't ask. She is just crazy and nothing we say seems to sink in just yet. Maybe give it time?
Zebediah and Abigail love "surfing" a.k.a. boogie boarding. They are getting pretty good. Zeb has a new rule of not going deeper than waist level unless an adult is with him (last year he was closer to knee level no matter how much Bryan tried to get him to go deeper) and Abigail is really good about checking to make sure she can still see our umbrella/spot on the beach. We might have to upgrade to actual surfing in the near future. Or just stick with this. Who knows what the future holds?
Elizabeth was all smiles the whole time.
Even when she was napping in our beach bag...this picture is obviously after she woke up, but still... (the blue IKEA bags are so handy!)
Football season started!!! We love college football season (pro sports come in second around here) and love supporting our favorite team. Thanks Gma Sagers for the BYU gear this year!!
Just waiting for the first game to start. The kids randomly break out into the Cougar fight song...and we're proud of them. Never too young to start the tradition.
We spent a lot of time taking pictures. Because we're that gorgeous and beautiful (words of choice for Maggie Belle)
Pretty faces...
Funny faces...
More funny faces. We have funny face contests with Daddy while he's at work. Hopefully he takes his without his co-workers looking on. That could be awkward. All in a day's joy in our life.
