Happy 2 to You!

Zeb turned 2 this past Sunday! He is growing so quickly...we can hardly believe it's been two years since that wonderful snow storm sent us to the hospital early (very early!) one morning. We celebrated down south with the Downs - as is tradition in the family to gather for a Sunday dinner to celebrate the birthdays (lucky Zeb it was actually on his birthday this year!). Zeb got to share his birthday dinner with Aunt Jen-Jen. It was such a wonderful day. Zeb only escaped from Nursery once, he slept almost the entire hour drive down to the party, he really had a blast playing with cousins, and absolutely loved having the family get together to celebrate his birthday. As is the case with most 2-year olds, he wasn't really interested in opening gifts. He opened one and got so distracted wanting to play with it that he didn't want to open any others. After some coaxing and lots of help he finally did it. Then we enjoyed dessert (pies and cupcakes in ice cream cones with ice cream on the side) and quality family time.

Yummy! Making jump shots already...NBA hear I come! Zeb's favorite of the day...the farmhouse sings "Old McVinkle" (instead of Old McDonald) but he only has two animals on the farm...a cow and a pig. The farmhouse sang for two days straight before the batteries that were included finally gave out. Little guy was so sad that it wasn't singing anymore. He loves to dance to the song. After about 10 minutes of him trying and trying to get it to work again I gave in a replaced the batteries. So much for being sane in this house! p.s. For any out there who celebrate that day for some other reason...Happy Valentines Day!
