Zeb has started being an active participant in our book-reading time. Really, he's probably just starting to memorize the books but we enjoy it anyway! One of his favorite books is about Dora the hen. She has her very first eggs and is so excited to show them to all of her friends. Zeb loves the part where she decides who to visit first. He also loves the ending when the eggs hatch (sorry to ruin the ending for you!) so Bryan decided to film the reading one night. The following is a pretty typical reading. We try to get once through the book as it is written, but we don't always accomplish our goals.
Another of his favorite books is the classic Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?. He names all of the animals as we go through the book ("Names them" is used loosely. He really just makes the sounds.) and even started us off one night by saying "brown bear, brown bear" before Mommy could say it. Definitely a smarty pants in our opinion!
