April Take 1

Look! They are buddies!
Sometimes when two people are very much alike, they struggle to get along. Such is the case with these amazing guys. I just love witnessing moments (which are getting more and more frequent!!) when they get along and enjoy each other. Snuggling up to watch General Conference made the moment even more special.

Open House night at school! Zeb was so excited to show us all the work he'd been doing in his classroom lately.
They made fossils. He made a trilobite fossil out of clay and loved learning all about the history.

They made ice cream bowls to help learn about fractions. Yum!

They learned all about Rosa Parks and how she didn't give up her seat on the bus. Zeb decided that she should be hot pink...love his creativity.

Abigail was so thrilled that Bryan could join us...she insisted on him being her special partner while I wrangled the other kids.
She showed off her amazing Spring Diorama...

Her huge packet full of fun activities and work that she did in her classroom...and many other fun things. It's always so fun to see the growth and progress the kids make throughout the year.

SPRING BREAK!! We started Spring Break off with a splash, crash, and bang this year.
Splashes on the slip-n-slide...

Splashes while mopping the floor on their knees/bellies...

Our first CRASH! and BANG! happened while mopping the floor.
Zeb slipped and fell flat on his face (from his knees!) and split his two front teeth. What a way to start our break. A dose of Tylonel and some snuggles later and he was calmed down. Turns out he was more worried about what the other kids would say when they saw his teeth than the actual pain of breaking his teeth. Luckily, our dentist was able to see him first thing Monday morning (this happened on Saturday evening) to fix his teeth. His right tooth had a very slight amount of the nerve exposed, so he will likely need more work done in the future, but for now the bonding does the job and you can hardly even tell anything happened.

Easter week started during Spring Break, so we also made our "Blessings Tree" to help us remember things we can be grateful for while preparing for Easter.

Bang - take 2! Tuesday (the day after seeing the dentist for Zeb's incident), Zeb and Abby were playing when things got a little rough. Totally on accident, Abigail's face ended up hitting the hard backing on our love seat. Two wiggly teeth later (when they weren't quite ready to be wiggly!), she was ready to have a visit from the tooth fairy.
Thankfully we were able to convince her that it would be better to keep her teeth for a bit longer - at least until they started getting wiggly on their own - and she kept her cute smile.

In an attempt to stay away from anything that could knock any more teeth loose, we went to the park with friends. Fool-proof plan!
Cutie pie loves her swing time!

Water games (water balloons, water gun fights, giant bubbles and such) kept the kids distracted enough that nobody got hurt! Win for the day!!

BIRTHDAY TIME! Maggie Belle had been asking for what seemed like months if it was her birthday yet. Finally the day arrived.
Lots of fun was had with fairy wings, shopkins pillows, bubbles, chalk, and coloring pages.

The cuteness continued the next day as she donned her new BYU shirt and fairy costume again. She definitely gets her fashion sense (or lack thereof) from her momma!

Maggie's birthday wouldn't be complete without a trip over to the pool.

Good times were had by all on this special day for our special girl!

We just love all the joy and excitement that Margaret brings to our family. She keeps us on our toes constantly with her amazing sense of adventure and lack of fear. She helps us learn to have patience, how to laugh, how to find joy in the simple things, to look outside the box and so much more.
