Several things have been happening recently, so a few get to be put together in a random update. Zeb had his stitches taken out August 30th (one week after having them put in). He was so brave through the entire experience and even got gummy bears from the pediatrician for being such a good boy! A funny little note about the event - Zeb had 6 stitches put in at the hospital, but the pediatrician only had to take out 5. That's right...at some point in time (we don't know when) Zeb took out the top stitch on his own! It's not too surprising since he loved to pick at them. It was a constant battle to keep his fingers away from the "owie".
Silly smile for the camera! Just like his daddy in so many ways...
Zeb still enjoys getting attention for having an owie on his head and will ask to have a "kiss better" on a regular basis.
This one is a two-fold story. Zeb has made incredible progress potty-training (totally jinxing things by praising him!) and regularly goes the entire day without an accident. Along with the potty-training and big boy unders came an addition to his love of sword fighting. He now has the most convenient sheath for his sword of choice! When his love of pirates developed we - being the loving and occasionally spoiling parents that we are - bought him an inflatable pirate sword. Do you think he ever plays with it? Of course not! Why use a sword when a plastic screwdriver from his tool set works just fine?! He gives us the sword then proceeds to attack with his "weapon". While not in action, his sword rests in it's sheath (aka his unders). He will attack anything and anyone so beware! He especially loves to play along with the sword fights in the shows he likes to watch (Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in the Three Musketeers is the best!).
We're still working on the idea that the person you are attacking needs to have a sword for the fight to be fair...
