New and Old in November

November means no more beard!
It's fun to see Bryan's face every now and then. The beard makes for some fun Halloween costumes, and adds at least 10 years to his age, but does start to itch and get in the way. What a handsome man that was hiding under the bushy beard!

Maggie likes to change things up every so often by riding her scooter to school. I figure, why not?! since she refuses to stay in the stroller anyway.
At least this way she has on shoes and a helmet.

Meanwhile...Lizzie is lost in all the blankets. Cute little bundle that loves to cry. Someday she will like to go for walks and drives like most babies. Someday. Maybe. Hopefully.

Little Misadventure decided to climb on our outdoor trash can one afternoon...and sliced her foot open.
The bandages make it seem worse than it really was, but we had to keep it covered and her off of it somehow.

Big girl Liz learned how to sit up unassisted! She loves to play with toys and people and is smiling as long as she isn't in the car or stroller.
She holds toys and shakes them around, typically hitting herself in the face since she hasn't gotten control of her motions yet.

Zebediah was student of the week! He got to make a poster all about himself and take it to school. He also got to be in charge of the calendar in his classroom.
 Hooray for Zeb!

He loves having spiky hair and wants to keep it as a mohawk. We're think he looks pretty handsome and are okay with it as long as he fixes his hair everyday.

Posing with his "Day of the Dead" artwork from school.

Abigail made a doll of what she wants to be when she grows up. She made hers into a doctor. Good goal!

A day off of school means lunch with Dad!
Yummy picnic-style lunch under the umbrella. We love spending time with him and eating - that's what we call a win-win!

Knott's with cousins!
Posing with the locals...wahoo or yikes?

You know you have a fun group when you take up the entire ride!

A chilly night at Knott's found us in line for the log ride.We took advantage of the parent riding rules (one parent goes while the other waits with the kids who are too small...then they switch without having to wait in the line again) and went on a few rides we would normally avoid.

Maggie...oh, Maggie...
She is quite the character. Clothes have become "optional", at least according to her. Also, sticking her bum out and shaking it has become her new mode of communication. We blame everyone else for teaching her this...but really think it was Abigail that taught her. And since Aunt Natalie taught Abigail, we blame Aunt Natalie. Thanks Aunt Natalie for teaching our children to shake their booty.

Abigail had the assignment to disguise a turkey and save it from becoming the Thanksgiving Day feast. She chose to make hers a Lalaloopsy turkey by using yarn and buttons.
I'm not all that familiar with Lalaloopsy, but think she did a fantastic job decorating and being creative. I love the curly hair!
Big smiles for a job well done!

Cousin Luella was in town for Thanksgiving, and we had playdates!

 We love playing with cousins!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday and spent much of it with family. The food was amazing, the playtime was even better, and the company was the best! We really have so much to be grateful for and love this time of year to really focus on the positive things in our lives.

Elizabeth is strong enough to sit up in the shopping carts now! It really is much simpler to shop without having to wear her in the carrier while chasing after Maggie (who is a regular Houdini and can find her way out of any restraints).
She's so happy playing with toys while waiting for me to get the errands done. Hard to believe she is 7 months old already. Time sure does fly by!
