Another Day

My appointment at the doctor's office was changed from yesterday morning to this afternoon due to an emergency so we had to find ways to fill our time this morning. Why not go to the playground?  Zeb knew right where to go as soon as I asked him if he wanted to go play outside.  He put on his shoes (such a big boy!) and was off.

He thinks he's a little bigger than he is and tries to do the monkey bars all by himself.  He'll hang from the first bar for a few seconds then put his feet back on the ladder.  Scary!

We weren't the only ones enjoying the playground this morning.  This little fellow - not so little - was also taking advantage of the warm, but not too hot, sunshine.  He (assuming it is a male) is about 3 1/2 inches long!  The biggest I've seen in quite some time.

Zeb made sure to avoid the "yucky water" and the "crocodiles" at the bottom of the slides while having a great time going up and down and up and down and up and down...

When we first moved here Zeb was not quite big enough or brave enough to utilize the entire playground.  Not so anymore!  He has figured out how to climb every part (even those which were not originally intended to be used for climbing) and enjoy the playground to its fullest.

After our fun-filled morning, we got ready and headed out for the doctor appointment.  Zeb fell asleep 2 minutes from the office so I got to carry him inside.  Of course, he woke up as soon as it was my turn to be seen and not a minute before.  Great timing kid!  Basically the results are the same thing we've heard the past 2 weeks.  Not enough progress to feel comfortable scheduling an inducement date.  That's all fine and dandy - except for the fact that it's getting harder each day to be patient for this little girly to arrive.  I really don't mind waiting for my body to do things naturally...today.  Ask me again tomorrow and the answer may be different.  I've found it all depends on how much sleep I'm able to get.  Less sleep equals major discomfort, which in turn means a harder day keeping up with Zeb.  We are hoping and praying to have more exciting news within the next few days...but if not, the doctor will induce me next week.  Not quite sure which day next week - another appointment is scheduled for next Tuesday but we are really hoping to not make it to the appointment!
