One of the best things about the month of December is the need to make all sorts of goodies. We chose to make batches and batches of great-Grandma Sagers' sugar cookies. Not to brag, but they were nearly just as good as hers! Nothing can really compare to going to Gma's house and having her wonderful cookies, but we're getting close. Anyway...Zeb had such a fun time being a helper with the cookies. His second favorite part was frosting the cookies.
Daddy surprised us by taking pictures while we were busy having fun!
No, I wasn't really eating the frosting plain. It was a pose...promise! You can tell I'm telling the truth because Zeb has his "picture face" on. Lately, whenever we tell him to "say cheese" he shuts his eyes and squints a little.
We were quick on the draw and caught him before he shut his eyes this time!
This was Zeb's method of frosting the cookies...just drop them in the bowl and see how they turn out.
They looked good to us! So good, in fact, that we couldn't resist eating a few dozen.
I suppose we should mention that Zeb's most favorite part about making cookies was to cut the shapes. He could hardly wait for one tray to be finished so he could start on the next one. We can't wait until next December so we can make cookies again! (Only joking, of course! We will be lucky to make it a month before we make cookies again.)
